The City of Regina is searching for a dynamic, proactive, and driven Business Solutions Specialist to provide business consulting, and database management expertise to align and advance the operational and technology-related practices of the Roadways and Transportation Department. Working with a team of experts and professionals, you will be responsible for providing an expertise in business management and various systems and interfaces within the department. Your professional experience will serve you well as you implement solutions that support the achievement of goals and objectives from a branch level to an overall corporate level.
The successful candidate would ideally have several years’ experience in business support management and analysis, process improvement methodology, measurement reporting to identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of process changes which includes providing solutions, and overall performance, troubleshooting, modification, improvement and maintenance. Building and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization will be vital as you identify implications of corporate-wide, major system, and process upgrades. Your expertise in project management methodology will ensure that your work is process-oriented, including formal documentation and reporting.
A key role will be to research, develop and implement department and branch specific solutions in order to meet business needs. In addition, conduct analysis of data to create various reports in order to support decision-making at all levels of management. These reports will be integral to support the development of short and long-term business planning.
If you have a university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other related disciplines combined with three (3) to five (5) years in the development and implementation of new business and technology and solutions, you are encouraged to submit your resume for consideration. Experience in analytical and operational aspects of business systems and workflow processes as they relate to municipal infrastructure operations would be an asset.
