Digital Technology Strategist
The City of Regina is beginning our search for a Digital Technology Strategist to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing technology strategy, digital innovation initiatives and collaborating with corporate clients to ideate, identify, complement and champion strategic opportunities related to Smart Cities, Renewable Cities and digital service delivery.
The ideal candidate would possess knowledge in digital landscape, customer and business trends, Smart Cities concepts and ecosystems, and IT project management methodology and techniques. They will require an understanding of how to successfully leverage technology to achieve business outcomes, drive digital transformation and effectively initiate corporate change. An understanding of technologies including cloud solutions, smart infrastructure, software, hardware and cybersecurity would be an asset.
You will have the opportunity to incorporate the City’s Vision and Corporate Strategic Plan and Technology Strategy with digital strategy. Develop and recommend digital strategies and plans based on business area objectives and plans, and market trends. Lead and champion the digital strategy and Smart City Strategy and develop a roadmap and plan for realizing the strategies. Work with business areas to identify opportunities for digital projects/experiments. Collaborate with the Citizen Experience Department on researching and analyzing market, City demographics and users and with Corporate Strategy & Performance to align with business planning. Work to identify unmet needs, goals, opportunities and challenges of the organization and its business units. Determine, report and analyze KPIs and recommend future state views. Leverage creativity to imagine how today’s business processes can be accelerated and transformed through digital processes tomorrow, and shape and drive digital transformation across the City by translating digital strategies into service delivery models.
