Facilities Project Consultant – Facilities Services

Would you like to lead a project team in support of a major, high-profile facility capital construction project?  Are you a senior corporate champion with strong project management skills who can deliver a large and complex facility construction project?  Do you have experience as the lead project manager delivering complex, rehabilitation, maintenance and investment projects in a variety of sectors with multiple stakeholders?  Are you eager to utilize your communication skills to facilitate client discussions and project meetings to move projects forward?

The City of Regina is recruiting a Facilities Project Consultant to add a specialized and expert advisor and leader of project teams in the Facilities Engineering Branch to support major facility capital construction projects. You will be responsible for delivering large and complex facility construction projects – with project budgets that can exceed $5 million. As project lead, you will work closely with external consultants and contractors, internal clients as well as respond to inquiries from the public. Your professionalism and superior communication skills will serve you well as you will be called upon to prepare and present reports to project teams, corporate committees and senior management.

Typically, the knowledge, abilities and skills are obtained through a university degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Management with a minimum of 5 years senior level experience in project management of complex facility construction projects with a value of at least $5 million. Experience in facility design, construction and/or maintenance is required. A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. PMP designation or Project Management formal training would be an asset.   • Typically, normal office conditions apply with considerable use of computer and time spent in meetings. In addition, this position requires site visits and inspections, which at times may require the individual to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have a vehicle available for work usage.
